Utilities

Information and resources on Jacksonville’s Northside area utilities such as electric, water, gas and phone services.

The only resource we have available to us for electricity is through the Jacksonville Electric Authority. We are gathering information on the payment centers for this resource and will be posting that on this page when it is completed. JEA also provides water and sewer services for those who don’t have a well and septic tank on their property. There are still neighborhoods who have wells and septic tanks but everyone must use JEA for electricity.

I would like to hear from those who have converted their home to solar or some other “GREEN” electric source and to share in their experiences with installing and uses that form of energy and if you have extra energy what is your experience with selling it back to the utility company!

The main source of phone service has always been Bellsouth which is now been bought out by AT&T. There are various companies that offer local phone services and as we get that information will be posting that as well.
